Rex is Rescued – Pickaway County Dog Shelter
At the end of March, the Pickaway County Dog Shelter contacted Rescued Rollers about a dog they wanted us to help. Rex was a German Shepherd Dog, abandoned in a field and found by Good Samaritans.
The dog warden had the county vet take a look at him and they stabilized him, even though his medical condition was nearly critical. Rex was unable to use his hind legs to walk and Pickaway County thought Rescued Rollers might have a wheelchair for him.
When John & Noel Lizotte had a wheelchair to fit Rex, they went to the Pickaway County Dog Shelter to fit it to Rex. After the fitting, Rex nearly pulled John out the shelter door to walk around the yard.
In the end, Rex came home with John and Noel. The Pickaway County Dog Shelter kept Rex’s fans updated on their Facebook page. To read more about his story, click here.
