Little Bear – A Christmas Story
This is Little Bear. LB for short. He’s an 11 year old lab mix. 2 months ago he could walk normally. Today, he can barely move any of his legs. While the vets work diligently to try to find the cause of the problem, LB just lays there. That’s where we come in.
Thanks to a little bird that whispered in our ear, we’re FedEx’ing LB a quad-wheelchair tomorrow morning. He should have it under his tree on Christmas Eve. Stay tuned for updates.
Thanks to Joseph L of Mason, TN, who donated his Zelda’s wheelchair, and our local H.R. Wolf Hardware who held a fundraiser for Rescued Rollers – Wheelchairs for Dogs last month, we’re able to get this boy mobile while his vets do their thing.
This is what compassion and teamwork are all about – Making the world a better place. We couldn’t do this without your support. Thank you!
Update
December 27, 2018
Here’s the update on 11 year old Little Bear (LB), who was our final Christmas miracle this year. LB lost the use of all 4 of his legs during the last few months. We sent him a quad cart that arrived Christmas Eve. <3
His owner’s sister writes:
“Thank you so much for all you have done to help me with my brother’s dog L.B. (Little Bear). I fear he is not going to get better (a tumor at the base of his neck), but I will say just seeing him in this chair with his tail wagging has made us feel so much happier. Being able to be at his normal height has given him a whole new perspective and has been a true blessing. We actually gave it to him Christmas eve. So it had perfect timing. We are all so grateful. I hope we need the chair a long time and the vet is wrong about the tumor, but if not we will be certain to get it back to you so you can help others. This has truly been a blessing.
Happy New Year!
